Who is Robert Zhongjie Yin?

We love you, Robert! We miss you! You are Forever Young.
Robert grew up in Rockville, Maryland, in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. Robert was widely known as a singer, violist, and track runner. He graduated from Wootton High School Class of 2008. He was a Wootton Senior Planner, Varsity Track Captain, and Meritorious Scholar with the Humanities and Arts Program.

Robert attended Grinnell College, in Grinnell, Iowa, Class of 2012. On May 14, 2010, Robert was pole vaulting for the Grinnell Track Team, at the 2010 NCAA Division III Midwest Championships at Illinois College in Jacksonville, IL. Robert slid off the mat and hit his head on asphalt. He died May 17, 2010 at age 20.

We created a private, non-profit Foundation to manage a Scholarship in Robert's memory. The Scholarship connects Robert's memory, with the spirited tradition of excellence among the youth at Wootton High School and throughout our community. The Foundation supports charitable causes including youth education, music, sports and sports safety, organ donation awareness, and if you wish to get involved, those charitable causes you feel passionate about.
